Osiris Projects undertakes cable route surveys for TenneT Offshore GmbH

TenneT Offshore, the fellow subsidiary of the electricity transmission system operator TenneT TSO, awarded Osiris Projects a contract to supply a series of detailed cable route surveys related to offshore wind farm sites in the German Bight region. The work included detailed geophysical surveys, ROV inspection surveys and shallow geotechnical investigations; making use of the company’s recently expanded geotechnical capabilities.

The surveys were carried out along a total of 14 proposed cable routes for both existing and proposed wind farms, and a single proposed platform location.  The firm’s newly completed specialist semi-SWATH catamaran Bibby Tethra took the lead on the project, supported by geotechnical engineers from Chester-based Geotechnics Ltd, aboard MV Poseidon.
