Due to continued expansion, we currently have vacancies for Hydrographic Surveyors with industry experience. Working as part of a specialist professional team you will be responsible for the installation, calibration and operation of navigation (satellite and acoustics) and multibeam systems on a wide variety of projects using QINSy, Sonardyne, Applanix, C-Nav, Leica, Reson, GeoSwath and HYDROPro acquisition software aboard a range of survey vessels.

The surveyors responsibilities also encompass working with the Party Chief to plan and execute the survey to ensure that the clients scope of work are completed in a time efficient manner to the highest possible standard. Regular office based work will primarily consist of processing and reporting of data. It is essential that any candidate is a good team player, has an ability to work unsupervised, is reliable, can use own initiative and takes pride in their work in terms of quality and attention to detail.

Vessel based fieldwork can vary from a few days to several weeks depending on the project,therefore an ability to spend periods of time on site and away from home is essential.

As a minimum, candidates should have a university degree in either a survey/ marine related discipline. A physics, mathematics or geosciences related degree will also be considered.
